Abstract (en)
The method involves moving a heater (4) at a distance from the foil (2) after placing it over the object(s) (1) so as to shrink the foil onto the objects by heating it. The temp. of the heated foil is measured, at least in some areas, and the heat output of the heater is regulated to an optimized shrinkage temp. for the respective region of the foil. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for shrinking a foil onto an object.

Ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Schrumpfen einer Folie (2) auf einen Gegenstand (1) werden insbesondere zum Verpacken eines Gutstapels mit einer Folienhaube eingesetzt. Hierbei wird eine Heizeinrichtung (4) im Abstand von der Folie (2) bewegt, um die Folie (2) unter Wärmeeinwirkung auf den Gegenstand (1) zu schrumpfen. Erfindungsgemäß wird zumindest abschnittsweise die Temperatur der Folie (2) gemessen, um die Wärmeabgabe der Heizeinrichtung (4) an die Folie (2) optimal zu regeln. Dafür ist die Vorrichtung mit einer Einrichtung (6) zum Messen der Temperatur der Folie (2) und einer Einrichtung zum Regeln der Temperatur der Folie (2) versehen. Dies hat den Vorteil, daß die Vorrichtung für unterschiedliche Gegenstände unabhängig von deren Kontur, Größe und Lage einsetzbar ist. <IMAGE>
