Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1000895A2] The assembly to detach a roving residue (25) from roving bobbin sleeves has a color sensor (47) to register the color of the bobbin sleeve (24) in the working position, linked to a control (36). The control (36) has a unit to register the color of a sleeve (24) in the doffing position of the magazine (44) holding the empty sleeves (24). The color detection unit has a data store for bobbin sleeves (24) free of residual roving material, for comparison with the readings of the color sensor (48) at the magazine and the color sensor (47) which scans the bobbin sleeve (24) in the working position.
