[origin: WO9900420A1] The present invention relates to a protein capable of regulating the endothelian cell proliferation as well as various uses thereof. The protein according to the invention has a molecular weight of approximately 50-60 kDa, preferably about 55 kDa, and has an amino acid sequence, which is substantially similar to that of a plasminogen fragment comprised of Lys 78-Arg 530 of a plasminogen molecule.
