The orientation device (1) is provided with a support (11) and the housing (2) is arranged on the support (11) in such a way that the screen (11) mounted in the housing (2) can be moved in relation to the support (11) by hand movements (18) carried out by the user (17). An orientation device (1) is provided to detect the spatial orientation of the screen (7) at a specific moment. The orientation thus detected is evaluated by the computer (8) which displays information on the screen in correlation with the spatial orientation of the screen (7) at a specific moment. The orientation device (1) provides improved orientation of the user (17) in relation to his or her spatial environment by spatially correlating the information shown on the screen (7) with the angle of view of the user (17).
