Bei einem Verfahren zum Umformen von Werkstücken in einer Umformvorrichtung mit wenigstens einer Umformstufe werden die Werkstücke von oder zu der wenigstens einen Umformstufe transportiert. Außerhalb der für die Umformung eines bestimmten Werkstücks vorgesehenen Zeit wird in der Umformvorrichtung eine Bearbeitung mit lokalem Energieeintrag an diesem Werkstück durchgeführt. <IMAGE>
