Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1002730A1] The method involves feeding a foil-like, thin, continuous strip (1) of label material through a stamping and pick-up station (12) in which each label formed from a region of the strip is stamped out of the strip and picked up by a gripper enclosed by the stamping tool (17) as the residual grid material is carried away. The gripper transports the label to the object and applies it to the object. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for producing labels and transferring them to objects.
