Abstract (en)
Sugar extraction from cane directed in upward direction so that the fluid can pass through it by gravity. The bagasse (crushed cane) is confined between two conveyor systems (7,7a and 9) insulated on the outside, waterproofed on the inside and fitted with rows of spikes on the inside of one band. This forms a path of rectangular cross-section through which the bagasse is transported from the inlet (4) to the outlet at (5) into which fluid is passed from (19). Some of the enriched liquid, under a gravity head 'h', is withdrawn at level (21) to be heated by heat-exchanger (23) to about 90 degrees C to warm the incoming bagasse. The liquid, at about 75 degrees C, is then returned for entry at (5). The final liquor is withdrawn at (25) principally and under the perforated drive roll (13) at (28). The bagasse is finally dewatered at (27) and (17) before disposal.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Extrahieren von Zucker aus gehäckseltem Zuckerrohr und eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Für ein verfahrens- und vorrichtungsmäßig verbessertes Extraktionssystem wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, den Bagassestrang durch ein in einem ansteigenden Förderkanal stehendes Imbibitionsflüssigkeitsbad hindurchzuziehen, wobei der Pegelstand dieses Flüssigkeitsbades oberhalb von am Anfang des Förderkanals vorgesehenen Entnahmestellen für Anwärmsaft und Abzugssaft liegt. <IMAGE>
