[origin: WO9909328A1] The invention concerns a ball joint, consisting of a joint housing (1) whereon at least one fixing means is formed by at least one bearing shell (8) arranged in a recess (3) of the ball joint housing (1) and capable of being set by ratchet assembly on the ball (7). The invention aims at improving said ball joint so that the bearing shell tolerance is reduced, as far as possible, or completely cancelled. Said aim is achieved by the fact that the ball joint housing (1) has at least one opening (5) through which is injected, as an intermediate layer (9), a polymerisable plastic substance to compensate the tolerance between the bearing shell (8) and the ball joint housing.
