[origin: EP1004511A2] Assembly to separate laterally sachets with sealed edges, for a packaging machine, has two shafts (22,23) with a synchronized rotation in opposite directions. A blade (30) is on one shaft (22), and a counter unit (31) is at the other. The counter unit (31) has a cylindrical outer surface (45) with an angled segment (46) through it, interrupted by openings (48) in a second angled segment (47). The assembly to separate laterally sachets with sealed edges, for a packaging machine, has two shafts (22,23) with a synchronized rotation in opposite directions. A blade (30) is on one shaft (22), and a counter unit (31) is at the other. The counter unit (31) has a cylindrical outer surface (45) with an angled segment (46) through it, interrupted by openings (48) in a second angled segment (47). The relative rotation of one shaft (23) against the other shaft (22) gives a programmed control for the cutting edge (41) of the blade (30) to engage either one angled segment or the other at the counter unit (31).
