[origin: EP1004711A2] A wall plate for a trim finish for a sanitary wall fitting has a support plate (6) fitted around the pipe stub out of the wall and with a trim cover (5) fitted to a cylindrical support flange (1) which is slid over the wall plate. A retaining ratchet (25) is fitted around the wall plate and has an outer profile (25c) which is pressed inwards when the cover flange is fitted. This presses a ratchet grip (25d) to secure onto the wall plate and prevent the fitting loosening with use.
