A procedure for unlocking an object, especially a car, by an electronic lock involves a demand signal sent out by a transmitter (3) and after reception of this signal by the key (4), a response signal is sent out by the key. No unlocking takes place if the response signal is received not inside a specified time period, counted from the transmission of the demand signal.

Bei einem Verfahren und bei einer Einrichtung zum Entriegeln eines Objekts, insbesondere eines Kraftfahrzeugs, mittels eines elektronischen Schlüssels, wobei von einem Sender ein Aufforderungssignal ausgesendet wird und nach Empfang dieses Signals durch den Schlüssel von diesem ein Antwortsignal ausgesendet wird, findet keine Entriegelung statt, falls nicht innerhalb einer vorgebbaren Zeitdauer, vom Aussenden des Aufforderungssignals an gezählt, das Antwortsignal empfangen wird. <IMAGE>
