Abstract (en)
The door lock comprises a casing (3) with two compartments (3a,3b). One retaining compartment (3a) contains the bolt (8) and a pawl (7). The other kinematic compartment (3b) contains opening and interior and exterior locking/unlocking control parts (20,22,23,24,28). The compartments define for the parts placing planes parallel to the vehicle vertical transverse axis YZ. The retention compartment comprises an inlet (4) emerging in the transverse direction Y of the passage of the latch. The casing has a symmetrical plane parallel to the longitudinal vertical axis XZ or to the longitudinal transverse axis XY so as to be able to use the same casing for the left or right door.

Serrure pour portière de véhicule automobile, ladite serrure comportant un boîtier de serrure (3) à au moins deux compartiments, dont un compartiment dit de rétention contient des organes de rétention, tels qu'un pêne (8) et un cliquet (7), et dont un compartiment dit de cinématique contient des organes de commande d'ouverture et de condamnation/décondamnation intérieure et extérieure de la serrure, lesdits compartiments définissant, pour lesdits organes, des plans de pose parallèles au plan vertical transversal YZ du véhicule, le compartiment de rétention comportant un avaloir (4) débouchant dans la direction transversale Y, caractérisée par le fait que le boîtier présente un plan de symétrie parallèle au plan longitudinal vertical XZ ou au plan longitudinal transversal XY du véhicule, de façon à pouvoir utiliser le même boîtier aussi bien pour une portière gauche que droite. <IMAGE>
