[origin: EP1004948A2] A display device is activated, when the motor vehicle radio apparatus is turned OFF. A microcontroller (9) starts periodically at a preset time. An oscillator (6) is calibrated with the very exact frequency of the oscillator while the controller is turned ON, based on which adjusted time is displayed.
