The method involves acquiring video data of a sound source, especially a speech source, with the camera (15) arranged in a position relative to at least one microphone (1). A position of the sound source relative to the microphone(s) is determined depending on the recorded video data and/or the focus setting of a camera objective lens; the microphone sensitivity is set according to the position determined.

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Steuerung der Empfindlichkeit mindestens eines Mikrofons (1, 5) vorgeschlagen. Dabei werden Videodaten einer Schallquelle (10), insbesondere einer Sprachquelle, von einer Kamera (15) aufgezeichnet. Die Kamera (15) ist dabei in einer vorgegebenen Position relativ zum mindestens einen Mikrofon (1, 5) angeordnet. In Abhängigkeit der aufgezeichneten Videodaten und/oder einer Fokuseinstellung eines Objektivs (20) der Kamera (15) wird eine Position der Schallquelle (10) relativ zum mindestens einen Mikrofon (1, 5) ermittelt. Die Empfindlichkeit des mindestens einen Mikrofons (1, 5) wird in Abhängigkeit der ermittelten Position eingestellt. <IMAGE>
