[origin: DE19809729A1] The invention relates to a binding (17) for cross-country or trail skis, comprising a device (10) for pivoting an assigned shoe (11) about an axis (13) which in the front area of the shoe extends approximately parallel to the sole surface (12) and approximately cross-wise to the longitudinal direction of the sole or ski, as well as a device (14) for the elastic resetting of the shoe (11) from a tilted position to a position approximately parallel to the ski. The invention is characterized in that it provides for an additional elastically deformable element (15) which counteracts the device (14) for elastically resetting the shoe (11), especially during initial tilting of the shoe (11).
