[origin: DE19855652C1] Roll mounting (2) with rolls (1) in its vertical orientation is removed from roll stand and pivoted to horizontal position. Bearing blocks (3) are removed from their journals and placed into parking position, and then rolls are changed. Bearing blocks are installed on new rolls. Roll mounting is pivoted to original vertical orientation and returned to roll stand structure by transport unit. An Independent claim is given for the apparatus used to implement the process. The apparatus includes: device (I) for pivoting the roll mounting; device (II) for handling the bearing blocks; and multi-functional device (III) adaptable to different roll stand sizes for transporting the roll mounting and rolls.

Die Aufgabe, mit geringem technischen Ausrüstungsaufwand den Wechsel der Walzen unterschiedlicher Gerüstbaugrößen wenigstens in der Zeiteinheit zu realisieren, die benötigt wird, um bei Verwendung je einer jeder Walzgerüstbaugröße zugeordneten Walzenwechseivorrichtung den Walzenwechsel durchzuführen, wird mittels einer einzigen Einrichtung zum Auswechseln der Walzen (1) derart gelöst, daß sie eine Vorrichtung zum Schwenken I des Walzeneinbaus (2) aus einer aufrechten in eine horizontale Lage und zurück, eine Vorrichtung zum Verschieben II der Einbaustücke (3) samt Zuganker (4) und anteiligem Anstellgetriebe (5) sowie eine auf die Gerüstbaugröße bezogene multifunktionelle und auswechselbare Vorrichtung zum Transport III aufweist und die Vorrichtung zum Schwenken I einen auf die Gerüstbaugröße bezogenen auswechselbaren Aufnahmeadapter (8) für den Walzeneinbau (2) beinhaltet. <IMAGE>
