Abstract (en)
The heated calender roller has a displacement body (6) in the central drilling (4) through the roller body (1). The material of the body (6) is specifically lighter than the material of the roller body (1). The material of the displacement body (6) is specifically lighter than the weight of the heating medium. The body (6) is of plastics, and preferably a solid plastics body, or it is of foam plastics with a closed pore structure. The displacement body (6) has at least one central drilling (9), and at least one groove (10) along its periphery in a spiral path, along the mantle line or at an angle to it. The outer diameter of the displacement body (6) is set to give it a press fit within the center drilling (4) through the roller, or only in certain length sections (7) where it is set back between them. The displacement body (6) is divided into separate sections longitudinally, as hollow plastics bodies, or it is in separate units with openings for different applications.

Eine mittels eines Heizmediums beheizbare Kalanderwalze, insbesondere zur Glättung oder Satinage, mit einem hohlzylindrischen, einen Verdrängerkörper aufweisenden Walzenkörper und an diesen beidseitig angeflanschten, ihn tragenden Flanschzapfen soll so verbessert werden, daß Einbauten in die zentrale Bohrung des Walzenkörpers, insbesondere Verdrängerkörper, leicht und wenig aufwendig erstellbar und zu montieren sind, das thermische Feld des Walzenkörpers nur geringfügig beeinflussen, und bei starken Beschleunigungen oder Verzögerungen die Kalanderwalze nicht zu gefährden vermögen. Dazu wird vorgeschlagen, daß die zentrale Bohrung einen aus Kunststoff bestehenden Verdrängerkörper aufweist. <IMAGE>
