Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9906165A2] The invention relates to a method and device enabling separation of a model from a sand body which has been moulded in a matrix by means of said model. When the horizontal separation surfaces are horizontally aligned, both the model and the matrix (8, 7) can be displaced perpendicularly to said separation surfaces so as to be separated from each other. In order to allow such a relative movement, a plurality of vertically driving gears or lifting cylinders in parallel alignment are provided which are parallel to the perpendicular (20), can be actuated separately, and the lifting height of which can be adjusted individually. Effecting such a separation by means of four individually driven and lifting height-adjusted cylinders (y(t) or electric drives enables the (horizontal) separation surfaces of both the matrix and the model to be kept strictly parallel during the separation process, with no movement perpendicular to the normal line.
