[origin: WO9911505A1] A transport train consists of a locomotive (A) and at least one trailer (W). Each trailer (W) has a substantially central vertical centre axle (M) and is connected to the preceding trailer (W) or locomotive (A) so as to swivel about this centre axle (M). The locomotive (A) and all trailers (W) have a bogie (F) arranged at their rear side that faces the following trailer (W), wheels (R) being mounted on the bogie (F). The bogies (F) are designed such that the wheels (R) are located substantially centrally between the locomotive (A) or trailer (W) and the following trailer (W). In addition, the locomotive (A) and all trailers (W) have at their rear side a curved supporting track concentric to the centre axle (M) of the following trailer (W). Each trailer (W) is fitted at its front side opposite to its rear side with a supporting wheel mounted on the trailer (W) so as to rotate about an axis of rotation which extends through the centre axle (M). The supporting wheel of each trailer (W) lies on the supporting track of the preceding trailer (W) or locomotive (A) and supports the trailer (W) on the preceding trailer (W) or locomotive (A). Each trailer (W) is fitted with a pole (D) mounted so as to rotate about its centre axle (M) and connected to the supporting track of bogie (F) of the preceding trailer (W) or locomotive (A) for connecting the trailer (W) to the preceding trailer (W) or locomotive (A). The locomotive (A) and all trailers (W) have a passenger cabin (K) made of fibre-reinforced plastics which is substantially symmetrical about the centre axle (M), in particular substantially cylindrical or barrel-shaped. The locomotive (A) is equipped with a laser navigation system (N). This transport train is particularly suitable for transporting passengers over short distances, in particular in airports or exhibition grounds.
