The washing procedure consists of placing the washing (24a, 24b) in two compartments (14a, 14b) of a drum which rotates about a horizontal axis and is divided by a radial partition (16). The drum is rotated at an angular velocity which subjects the washing to a more or less constant radial acceleration. The drum is rotated by a motor operating at a more or less constant speed The drum is rotated at an angular velocity which subjects the washing to a more or less constant radial acceleration with a mean value of about 0.70 - 0.95g, where g is the acceleration due to gravity.

Dans un lave-linge dont le tambour (12), d'axe horizontal, est divisé intérieurement en deux compartiments (14a,14b) par une cloison (16) passant par son axe, on entraîne le tambour (12) en rotation à une vitesse angulaire telle que le linge (24a,24b) soit soumis à une accélération radiale sensiblement constante, de valeur moyenne comprise entre environ 0,70 g et 0,95 g, où g représente l'accélération de la pesanteur. A cet effet, le système commandant la rotation du tambour (12) inclut, de préférence, un dispositif d'asservissement de vitesse, en boucle fermée. On assure ainsi un lavage efficace, en faisant chuter les deux charges de linge (24a,24b) à chaque fois que le tambour effectue un demi-tour. <IMAGE>
