Abstract (en)
The iron is to be used at home and acts by being manually slid on the fabric to be ironed, and its main characteristic is the fact that a halogen lamp (9) is included at its front bottom part, located in a housing (5) which, as the lamp, has a forward and downward incline, which housing (5) is complemented with a front lens (6) spaced from a tube-shaped metallic casing (8) enveloping the lamp (9) by means of a washer (7). The halogen lamp has a tandem connection to a resistor (14) which adapts the mains voltage to the voltage of the lamp (9), with a diode (13) limiting consumption of the resistor (14) and a switch (16) for disconnecting and making the circuit supplying the lamp (9), which is located on the heel or rear base (17) of the iron, the circuit being disconnected when the iron stands on the rear end (17) and the circuit being made when the lamp is in its normal working position. The halogen lamp (9) projects light onto the fabric area which is thereupon to come under the sole-plate of the moving iron, allowing the area of fabric on which the iron slides to be seen better. <IMAGE>
