[origin: WO9846160A1] This invention is a disposable prophylaxis tool used in dentistry that includes an integrally formed gear reduction mechanism (60) within the housing (20) to allow a high powered drill output to drive the tool through the reducing gears in a slow reliable manner. The disposable prophylaxis cup is formed from inexpensive plastic and lends itself to mass production and assembly to be economically discarded after a single use thereby promulgating hygiene.
