[origin: WO9828034A1] A one-way valve for use in a medical pump system, said valve comprising: an outer sheath, defining and enclosing a lumen therein, and comprising one or more radial opening; and an elastic outer sleeve, which adheres to an outer, radial surface of the sheath to cover the radial openings, closing the valve, wherein in response to an increase of a fluid pressure inside the lumen, the outer sleeve stretches outward, exposing the radial openings, so that fluid flows out of the valve in a direction determined by the sleeve, and wherein the valve is adapted to control the direction of flow.
