[origin: WO9856540A1] A tool set including a ratchet ring wrench, an adapter (58) and a series of sockets (5), where each socket has an axial through channel (6) in which a lengthwise part has a formation (63) for receiving a bolt head, nut head or the like. Each socket has a head (51) which can be received in an opening in a ratchet ring wrench and the head of the socket has a locking element (53) to loosely block axial movement in the opening. The circumerence of the socket head is in the form of a cog (52) for direct or indirect (3) rotation in a single direction by a ratchet mechanism (35) in the ratchet ring wrench. Every socket in the series has a channel part (61) with a mainly squared cross section and all the sockets in the series have a substantially similar distance between adjacent corners in said channel parts. The adapter (58) is at one end provided with the same cog formation as the sockets for engagement with the ratchet ring wrench and at its other end is provided with a square connecting pin for connecting to conventional squared pin receiving sockets (80).
