[origin: FR2768075A1] The invention concerns an artificial shell for receiving, preserving up to -50 DEG C and traditional cooking at temperatures neighbouring +250 DEG C, gastropod flesh capable of being subsequently extracted in the same way as from a natural shell to be eaten, while reproducing as closely as possible the natural features of shape, weight and fineness of the external envelope. The invention is characterised in that the shell is produced in a cycle lasting not more than 20 seconds, by injecting under pressure a food resin belonging in particular to the category of polyesters, and more particularly aromatic polyesters whereof the liquid crystal polymers (LCP), or polyetherimides, in a mould heated reproducing the dimensions of the natural shell.
