[origin: WO9913365A2] The invention relates to a plug-and-socket connection for optical fibres, comprising a socket in which the optical fibres to be connected are held, and a plug connector which receives the optical fibres in a centring element and into which the optical fibres are inserted by connecting the plug and socket. The invention is characterised in that the plug connector has at least three grid-springs as a centring element. Said grid-springs are substantially elongate when unlocked and are placed around the fibres by means of a locking rotational movement, thereby centring them.
