[origin: DE19738329A1] The invention relates to a hose arrangement for a vacuum cleaner with a suction hose (4) which automatically changes its length and is configured in such a way that it can automatically extend lengthwise in at least one partial area. The hose arrangement also has a supporting part (3) which is used to guide a suction mouthpiece coupled thereto and connected to the suction hose (4) in terms of flow. The suction hose (4) is guided along at least part of its length and supported on said supporting part. The suction hose (4) can be blocked in a shortened position on the supporting piece (3) by means of a retaining member (11). Use of the inventive hose arrangement enables a vacuum cleaner to be stored away in an orderly and compact manner.
