[origin: DE19735334A1] The refrigeration plant has a boiler heated directly or indirectly by solar radiation, a condenser and a mixer for providing a mixture of 2 liquids exhibiting a mixing heat of greater than 500 J/ mol, a difference in their boiling temperatures of at least 20 degrees C and at least one of the components having a boiling temperature above 50 degrees C. ENERGY CONVERSION - The plant provides efficient use of solar energy and can be combined with a solar collector system for water heating. ORGANIC CHEMISTRY - Both liquids which are used may be provided by organic liquids.
