[origin: WO9903174A1] An electronic labelling assembly (2) has a bus rail (4) extruded from an insulative material and having solid wire conductors (16, 18) embedded along a base wall (10) of the rail. Electronic labels (6) can be latched to the rail, by simply pressing them into the rail. Removal however requires a special tool (8) that has extensions (69) for biasing the latches out of engagement, and extension (66) for engaging a label release latch for lifting the label out of the rail.
