Abstract (en)
The fire extinguisher contains a solid or liquid extinguishing substance discharged by a propellant gas such as carbon dioxide in an auxiliary cartridge. The propellant gas is released by detonating a pyrotechnic cartridge (27) with an expansion chamber and a perforator (28) which pierces a seal or disc on the gas cartridge when a mechanical striker is actuated.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de libération d'un gaz propulseur tel que du CO2 contenu dans une cartouche auxiliaire de CO2 destinée notamment à être utilisée dans les appareils de lutte contre l'incendie, caractérisé en ce qu'on effectue une perforation d'un opercule ou disque de rupture (9) de ladite cartouche auxiliaire (8) par un moyen de perforation pyrotechnique (27). La présente invention concerne également le dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé et l'extincteur muni d'un tel dispositif. <IMAGE>
