Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1013598A1] The drive unit consists of a motor (4,5) in a housing (2) that drives a drive plate (7) via a drive shaft (3) that can be held by a brake. The drive plate is mounted on a free end of the drive shaft, is supported on the housing and forms part of the brake. The drive plate is mounted on a bearing plate (2.2) of the housing and has a protrusion forming of a brake disc or drum (11).
