Abstract (en)
The compound woven fourdrinier, for the wet section of a papermaking machine, is in three or more layers. An additional weft layer (50) is woven into the structure between the weft layer (44) of at least one upper woven material (42) and the weft layer (46) of at least one lower woven material (43). The upper and lower weft layers (44,46) are separated by the additional weft layer (50). The filaments (2,6,10...34,38) of the additional weft group (50) alternate with the bonding filaments (4,8,12...36,40) woven into at least one upper (42) and at least one lower (43) material. All the warps (45) of the upper woven material (42) lie over the additional weft group (50), and all the warps of the lower woven material (42) are under it. All the wefts (44,46,50) lie on a common and generally vertical plane. The wefts of the additional weft group (50) are offset vertically from the wefts (44,46) of at least one upper (42) and at least one lower (43) woven material.

Aus der Praxis sind Siebe bekannt, deren Ober- und Untergewebe mit Hilfe von Bindefäden miteinander verwoben sind. Beim Einsatz derartiger Papiermaschinensiebe kommt es häufig zu einer Wellenbildung im Sieb, was mit erheblichen Qualitätseinschränkungen des erzeugten Papiers verbunden ist. Das neue Papiermaschinensieb soll eine verbesserte Querstabilität aufWeisen. Erfindungsgemäß ist zwischen die Schußlage (44) des Obergewebes (42) und die Schußlage (46) des wenigstens einen Untergewebes (43) eine zusätzliche Schußfadengruppe (50) eingewoben, welche die vorgenannten Schußlagen (44, 46) voneinander trennt.
