[origin: EP1013927A2] The hydrostatic piston machine includes a damping unit(21) formed by one section(22) of the wall(1b) bounding the inside of the casing and which flexes outwards when the pressure inside the casing exceeds a predetermined value. The wall section is located on the inner side of the casing wall or is partially or completely recessed into it. The wall section may be a separate component which can move in piston fashion in a space(23) in the casing wall and is spring-loaded against a stop(26) in the direction of the interior of the casing.
