The current converter has a magnetisable annular core (1,6) enclosing a primary conductor (2) and wound with a secondary winding (7). The part of the annular core enclosing the primary conductor is located within the gas-filled enclosure (10) of the switchgear apparatus and the part of the annular core wound with the secondary winding is located outside the gas-filled enclosure.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Stromwandler zum Einsatz in einer gasisolierten Schaltanlage, insbesondere in einer Mittelspannungs-Schaltanlage, mit einem ringförmigen Kern (1, 6), mit einer Primärwicklung eines Primärleiters (2) und mit einer Sekundärwicklung (7), durch die der Kern (1, 6) zumindest teilweise bewickelt ist. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass der ringförmige Kern (1, 6) teilweise in einem gasgefüllten Schottraum (10) der Schaltanlage und teilweise außerhalb des Schottraums (10) angeordnet ist. Vorteilhafterweise ist der Teil (6) des ringförmigen Kerns (1, 6), der außerhalb des Schottraums (10) angeordnet ist, mit der Sekundärwicklung (7) bewickelt. Der Teil (1) des ringförmigen Kerns (1, 6), der innerhalb des Schottraums (10) angeordnet ist, ist vorzugsweise mit der Primärwicklung versehen. <IMAGE>
