[origin: DE19718179A1] A bowling ball and pin conveyor for a bowling installation has a feeding device (5) and a vertical conveyor (3). The feeding device (5) has a transport plate (31) located between the bowling alley (11) and the vertical conveyor (3), with its end facing the bowling alley (11) located higher up than its end facing the vertical conveyor (3). The feeding device (5) feeds the corresponding racks (49a, 49b) of the vertical conveyor (3) with pins (42) in a predetermined orientation, which are then conveyed by the vertical conveyor (3) to a positioning device (17) in a predetermined orientation. The predetermined orientation of the pins (42b) on the vertical conveyor (3) is achieved by means of the belt plate (52) and by the geometry of the vertical conveyor (3).
