[origin: WO9914053A1] A printer drive assembly is disclosed which corrects for positional error by reducing or eliminating mechanical interfaces due to multiple gears in the drive system. Tooth structures and shapes are changed and spacing is arranged such that camming between teeth is substantially eliminated and rotational movement of a first gear by an integral number of rotations causes linear motion of the print head within the printer by one print line.
