[origin: WO9833739A1] The invention concerns a mooring block comprising, centred on a common axis (2), an electric motor (5) whose housing is fixed, integral with the frame (1), and whose rotor (7) is capable of driving a couple of cylinders (3 and 4) via a planetary gear train (9). Each cylinder (3 and 4) comprises its own braking mechanism (23 and 24) respectively. This mooring block with single motoring unit performs the same operations as two separate standard mooring blocks.
