[origin: WO9914627A1] In a process for manufacturing glasses side pieces made of wire (1), a plastic tube (5) is slipped on the wire (1) to form a plastic sheath (3) in an end section (2), and the plastic tube (5) is enclosed at its end by an enlarged end piece (4). The enlarged end piece (4) is injection-moulded at one end of a plastic tube (5) cut into sections before the plastic tube (5) with the injection-moulded end piece (4) is slipped on the free end of the glasses side piece.
