[origin: WO9745932A1] The invention relates to a rotating electric machine having a stator (1) with windings drawn through slots (5) in the stator. According to the invention the windings consist of high-voltage cable (6), a plurality of resilient bodies (13) being arranged along at least one cable lead-through (6). The bodies (13) are arranged to abut onto the cable lead-through (6) with pressure. The invention also relates to a method in the manufacture of such a machine. According to this method the stator is wound with high-voltage cable, after which a plurality of resilient bodies are inserted axially in at least one slot in a space formed between adjacent cable lead-throughs and one wall of the slot.
