[origin: WO9834330A1] The present invention relates to a rotating electric machine incorporating a stator (1) with windings drawn through slots (5) in the stator. According to the invention the windings consist of high-voltage cable (6) wherein the slots (5) close to the end plane (19) of the stator are provided with cuff members (13, 16) arranged between the cable (6) in the slot and the walls of each slot (5). A method is also revealed for manufacturing such rotating electric machines in which cuffs are applied in the slots close to the end plane of the stator, after which the cables are drawn through them.
