[origin: DE19739537A1] The present invention relates to a device for connecting and disconnecting an electric load (6), such as a lighting fixture, according to the ambient luminosity. The device comprises a light sensor (1), an electronic estimation unit (2) mounted downstream from the light sensor (1) and comprising at least one comparator (10, 11), a switching delay stage (3) mounted downstream from said electronic estimation unit (2), and a power switch (5) mounted downstream from the electronic estimation unit (2) and the switching delay stage (3). In order to reduce the power consumption to a minimum, the electronic estimation unit (2) is made in the shape of two comparison circuits (10, 11) which are mounted in parallel and have different and adjustable switching threshold values (Lx1, Lx2) that correspond to the disconnecting and connecting ranges of the electric load (6).
