Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1016473A2] To give a rounded profile to edges and corners of shaped workpieces, with small radii, the shaping action is wholly through the use of high pressure fluids at the edge/corner zones. The shaping mold gives expansion zones (8) at the edge/corner areas (7) of the workpiece, where the workpiece is fitted into a shaped recess together with an insert (6) to expand the corner/edge zones into the expansion spaces by expanding units (9) of tough and flexible polymer or metal materials.
