Es wird ein Elektrowerkzeug, insbesondere Winkelschleifer angegeben, mit einem länglichen Motorgehäuse, in dem ein Elektromotor aufgenommen ist, mit einem Getriebegehäuse an einem ersten Ende des Motorgehäuses zur Aufnahme eines Getriebes zum Antrieb einer Arbeitsspindel, einem Griffteil (25), das an einem zweiten Ende (24) des Motorgehäuses (22) befestigt ist und in dem ein Griffschalter (32) angeordnet ist, und mit Luftansaugschlitzen (31) zur Kühlung des Elektromotors (14), die am zweiten Ende (24) des Motorgehäuses angeordnet sind. Ferner befindet sich vorzugsweise im Strömungsbereich der Luftansaugschlitze (31) mindestens eine Prallplatte (30), die zur Partikelablenkung dient und gleichzeitig als Kühlblech zur Kühlung von Elektronikkomponenten ausgebildet sein kann. <IMAGE>
