Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9848835A1] The subject of the invention is the use of an immunogenic agent derived from Helicobacter, in the manufacture of a pharmaceutical composition intended for the induction of a T helper 1 (Th1) type immune response against Helicobacter, to prevent or treat a Helicobacter infection in a mammal. This is in particular achieved when the pharmaceutical composition is intended to be administered by the systemic or parenteral route, for example, in the part of the mammal situated under its diaphragm. Also included in the invention is a mucosal/parenteral immunization method for the prevention or treatment of Helicobacter infection.
