[origin: DE19750215C1] The invention relates to gelatine membrane filters for collecting micro-organisms from gases and obtaining a higher proportion of micro-organisms capable of living on said filters, and to a method for producing the same. To this end, the inventive gelatine membrane filters contain osmoprotective substances which are added either to the membrane attraction solution or to a first setting bath. The inventive gelatine membrane filters are used in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food industries, in environmental protection, waste management and in medical devices for determining the bacterial count in media. They can be used in conjunction with an apparatus for collecting airborne bacteria for example, for collecting bacteria, viruses, yeast and fungi in order to determine the concentration of these micro-organisms in rooms.
