Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9916987A1] The invention relates to a supporting structure for installing a second roof covering over a first roof covering with corrugated roof shingles (14). Said supporting structure comprises at least one supporting profile (12) which runs diagonally to the curve of the shingles (14) and at least one supporting element (16) which supports said supporting profile (12) in at least one curve trough (18, 20) of the shingles (14). The supporting element (16) is produced out of a band profile which is bent in a diagonal direction to the curves in such a way that it adapts to the curved profile of the shingles (14). In addition, said supporting element (16) is placed upon and along the width of at least one curve trough (18, 20). The invention provides an advantage in which the supporting element (16) constructs two upward projecting limbs (28, 30) on which the supporting profile (12) is fastened. Said supporting structure is especially suitable for reconstructing roofs which are covered with asbestos cement corrugated roof shingles.
