[origin: DE19834575A1] The invention relates to a rotary slide valve, especially for the heating system of a motor vehicle. According to the invention, the volume of hot water flowing via an inflow opening is directed either to a discharge line (11) or to a bypass (13) by a rotary plug (3). When the bypass (13) is closed, the volume of hot water which serves the function of heating can be varied by a control opening (9) by the additional rotation of the rotary plug (3) around a determined angle of rotation ( alpha ).
