[origin: DE19815658A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for measuring the mass of a medium, especially the induction air mass of an internal combustion engine, flowing in a line (2). Said device comprises a flow tube (3) which is arranged in the line (2). A measuring element (20) around which the flowing medium flows is arranged in the flow tube (3). The medium flows from the line (2) and into the flow tube (3) at the inlet opening (9), and flows out of the flow tube and into the line (2) at an outlet opening (11). An outlet front face (12) of the flow tube (3), said front face enclosing the outlet opening (11), comprises structural grooves (53) which, with a radial directional component, extend in relation to a longitudinal axis (6) of the flow tube (3).
