Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1020125A2] A method for handling a stream of tobacco fibres as a concave guide track (21) assembled from segments (38) separated by slits (23) through which air is blown. The slits are angled in the direction of the tobacco flow and create an air layer on which the fibres are supported. The air layer produces an improved distribution of the fibres and provides a flow into a suction line leading to the next process.
