[origin: EP1020230A2] The shower head has a jet plate(1), a number of jet outlet holes(3) and a jet smoothing device which divides the cross section of at least one jet outlet hole. The smoothing device has at least one dividing wall extending in the direction of flow, and three dividing walls may be arranged in star fashion. The smoothing device may be located in front of the jet opening or extending over at least the length of the bore forming the jet outlet, or the smoothing device is longer than the jet outlet. The jet smoothing device may be formed on the jet plate or formed on a separate component(6).
